Flow Yoga

 

 

In Sanskrit, “Vinyasa” means “to place in a special way,” and that describes the fluid grace of a well-planned Vinyasa sequence. As one of the most popular styles of yoga practiced in the West, Vinyasa classes will keep you moving! You’ll build heat synchronizing breath with movement through sequences of traditional Sun Salutations and standing postures, and work to build strength and endurance as you push the edge of your balance and flexibility. Room is set at 95 degrees.

 

Core Flow 

 

A Core focused flow will mirror a vinyasa flow yoga class. Challenging yet invigorating - you will love it. The main focus of this class will be the abdominal muscles fused within the flow yoga sequence. The room is heated to 95 degrees.


Power Flow 

 

Shift your practice to a higher gear with Power Flow. Power Flow tones muscles as well as builds flexibility and stamina by incorporating dynamic postures, challenging transitions, longer holds, and sometimes light weights. Room is set at 95 degrees.


Slow Flow  

 

 

A slower, more mindful approach to Vinyasa Flow. These all-levels classes allow time to modify each pose to fit your own body and create a strong connection to your breath. Room temperature is set at 80 degrees.

 

 

Tone Flow

 

 

This medium-to-high intensity workout involves light weights, resistance training, cardio, and yoga. Tone Flow will boost your metabolism and tone your body in all the right places, while stretching you in all the right ways. Indoor tennis shoes with light-colored soles are okay to wear for this class as needed. Room is set at 90 degrees.


Prairie Fire Flow 

 

This class blends the best of Hot/Fire Yoga and our signature Power Flow together. The sequence of Prairie Fire Flow has been meticulously crafted to safely open and strengthen your body from head to toe. It is the same every time, which allows the student to detach the mind from the body’s physical movements, making it a more meditative practice. Expect Sun Salutations, strength-building postures, backbends, twists, balances, and breathing exercises. Room temperature is set at 95 degrees.

Yin 

 

 

Bring balance to your life and yoga practice with Yin, an all-levels style of yoga based on the physiology of Traditional Chinese Medicine. While our Flow classes focus on movement, Yin emphasizes stillness. Slowly release your joints and connective tissues and activate your body’s inner flow of energy with seated, reclined, or prone postures held for 1-5 minutes. Room is set at 80 degrees.


Candlelight Flow

 

A slower-paced, all-levels Vinyasa class, Candlelight Flow is the perfect way to end your day. Unwind and release stress in a darkened, candlelit room through a combination of accessible poses, fluid movement, and breath. Room is set at 95 degrees.

 

Morning Meditation 

 

The best way to start your day – begin with good intentions and a moment to light the spark within. Members are welcome to come in to meditate for free prior to the 8:30am class. The room is heated to 95 degrees.

 

Open Studio Time 

 

The studio's doors are open for a self-guided practice. Explore what your body needs; whether it be a powerful flow or a 60 minute savasana. You are your best teacher. Room is set at 95 degrees.

 

Power PiYo

PiYo is a total mind-body workout that combines the high intensity muscle sculpting and core strengthening moves of the Pilates method with the flow of a yoga class. Room is set at 85 degrees.

 

Flow and Restore

 

Nourish the body and mind with gentle flowing movements and passive restorative poses. Props support the body to help release tension and encourage healing. Each class ends with yoga nidra, a form of guided meditation used to lead you to the hypnagogic state – a conscious state between sleep and wakefulness. Room is set at 80 degrees.

 

Private Yoga Sessions

 

Craving something uniquely special? Prairie Fire's Yoga studio can be looked at as a classroom where ease and possibility ring true. Sign up for an individual private yoga session or schedule a private group yoga session. You will be exhilarated and fulfilled with a new excitement when rolling out your mat. This time will be carved out to fulfill any of your desires. Whether it be breaking down the basics, focusing on alignment, or wanting a boost -- our instructor will meet you exactly where you are. Come ignite the fire inside and restore your energy. We will adhere to your needs anyway we can to help create that A-ha Moment we all seek. Your private session can be in a heated or non heated room.
